Where Do I Stand With God (I studied and wrote this out for my own examination)

The Bible commands “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.” II Corinthians 3:5 a

II Peter 1:10 says “Give diligence to make your calling and election sure.”

Evidences of being lost
1.  Characteristics of the lost from II Peter 2:10,14 is that they walk after the flesh in    the lust of uncleanness, despise government, are  presumptuous, self willed, and  are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
2.  I John 1:6  He walks in darkness (sin).
3.  I John 2:4  He does not keep God’s commandments.
4.  I John 2:9, 11  He hates his brother.
5. II Corinthians 4:4 and John 2:11  He is spiritually blind which means he can’t see.
6.  I John 2:19  He went out from the believers.
7.  I John 2:23  He denies the Son.
8.  I John 3:8   He commits sin.
9.  II Peter 2:15, 20-22 He returns to sin.
10.  James 2:19  He may believe in God.
11.  James 2:17  He has faith without works.
12.  Matthew 7:21-23   He may do many wonderful works but has never had a relationship with God and he works iniquity.

Evidences of being saved
1.  A believer has signs of life such as a desire for food according to I Peter 2:2 and for fellowship with God according to I John 1:3.
2.  II Peter 2:8-9  Sin vexes or bothers a saved person.
3.  I John 1:7  He walks in the light.
4.  I John 1:7  He has fellowship with other believers.
5.  I John 2:3; 3:24 He keeps God’s commandments.
6.  I John 5:2; 2:10; 3:14   He loves the brethren.
7.  I John 2:24   He continues in the Son.
8.  I John 2:29     He does righteousness (lives right).
9.  I John 3:24; 4:13  The Spirit dwells in a believer.
10.  I John 4:7  A true believer loves other believers and knows God.
11.  I John 4:15  He confesses that Jesus is the Son of God.
12.  I John 5:3  God’s commandments are not grievous to believers.
13.  I John 5:10  A saved person has the witness in himself.
14.  II Corinthians 1:2  He is sealed with the Spirit.
15.  II Corinthians 5:17 He is a new creature, old things are passed away.
16.  Hebrews 6:9 Those who are saved should have “things that accompany salvation.”
17.  Hebrews 9:14  A saved person should be serving the living God.
18.  James 1:22 Is a doer of the Word and not a hearer only.
19.  James 1:25 A believer continues in the law of liberty.
20.  James 1:26  He bridles his tongue
21.  James 1:27 cares for others (widows and the fatherless) and keeps himself unspotted from the world.
22.   Romans 8:14 He is led by the Spirit of God.

According to the evidences of what God has said in His Word where do you stand with God?
